Since I was a kid, I have always been fascinated by how people relate to themselves and each other. I would listen to and pay attention to people's stories, what motivated them, what was essential to them, how they faced adversity. I have been spending the last 25 years learning about various approaches of psychology, so I could support clients in creating a more meaningful connection to themselves and others.
I often feel as though I have lived many different lives, shaped by a variety of circumstances--countries, jobs, partnerships, communities, and challenges. These experiences have greatly influenced me and broadened my perspective on what is possible in life. My goal is to support your journey in discovering what is possible for you, while also helping you accept the things we simply cannot change. I am a parent of two amazing, rambunctious boys. Parenting has been one of the most humbling experiences of my life, and for that I am deeply grateful (even it if took some time to get there!). I have been a licensed therapist since 2008 and I have worked in a variety of professional settings, including community clinics, elementary schools, and a psychiatric hospital for the past 25 years. I am a member of the Board of Behavioral Sciences and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I offer adult psychotherapy in English, Italian, and French. I appreciate the central role that cultural heritage plays in the way that people experience the world and I am committed to offer a space of acceptance for different cultural values and lifestyle choices. |
